Disk City is a disk space analyzer for Mac developed by PETALUMAPALMER LLC (“the developer”). This policy explains what information the app uses and where it goes.
Disk City has no account system and no developer-operated server. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or other third-party SDKs, and it does not track you across apps or websites. The Mac App Store version has no network access at all, so nothing it reads can leave your Mac through the app.
When you scan a disk or folder, Disk City reads the names, sizes and locations of the files and folders inside it. It does not open or read the contents of your files. The scan result is kept in memory on your Mac to draw the city and is discarded when you start a new scan or quit the app. It is never saved to disk or sent anywhere.
macOS lets Disk City read only the folders you choose in the system folder panel. To avoid asking again, the app keeps a list of the folders you chose, as macOS security-scoped bookmarks, inside its own app container on your Mac. Deleting Disk City removes that list. Granting Full Disk Access in System Settings is optional; it lets the app see folders that macOS otherwise hides, and you can turn it off at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.
Disk City moves an item to the Trash only after you confirm it in a dialog. Items in the Trash can be restored with Finder until you empty the Trash.
Disk City does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent information through support can contact us so it can be deleted.
The Disk City support page offers a contact form and email. If you contact support, the developer receives your name, email address and the message you send, and uses them only to respond. The form is delivered through FormSubmit, which states that it keeps submissions for up to 30 days. The pages are hosted on GitHub Pages, which may process technical request information. Please do not include file lists or other private information you do not want to share.
Apple processes App Store purchase information under Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer never receives your payment details and does not sell or share personal information with anyone.
