Tavla Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026 · Türkçe

Tavla is a backgammon game for iPhone and iPad developed by Fırat Yalavuz (“the developer”). This policy explains what information the app uses and where it goes.

No account, analytics, ads or tracking

Tavla has no developer account system and no developer-operated server. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or other third-party SDKs, and it does not track you across apps or websites. The app does not ask for your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone. The services it does use are Apple's: Game Center, iCloud and the App Store.

Game Center

Tavla signs you in with Apple Game Center at launch. Through Game Center the app receives your Game Center player identifier, display name and, where you have one, your profile picture. It uses them to show your profile, find online opponents, and record achievements and leaderboard scores (games won, all time, weekly and monthly). Leaderboard entries and achievements are visible to other Game Center players according to your Game Center settings. You can play against the computer without signing in to Game Center; online play, leaderboards and achievements need it.

Online play

Online opponents are found through Game Center automatch, and game messages travel through Apple's Game Center service, not a developer server. During an online game your opponent sees your Game Center display name and profile picture, the flag and optional profile mark you chose in the app, your app language, the table stake and your chip balance. The game itself (dice, moves, doubling-cube decisions) and quick-chat messages are exchanged with the opponent. Quick chat only offers ready-made phrases and emoji; you cannot type free text to other players.

If no player is available at an online table, a computer opponent may be matched instead. It can appear with a name, flag and avatar like a player's, and the matchmaking screen says so. Games against the computer are played entirely on your device.

Chips, progress and storage

Your chip ledger (purchases, table stakes and payouts, daily wheel and other grants, each with its date and, for purchases, the App Store transaction identifier) is stored on your device and copied to the iCloud key-value storage of your own Apple Account, so your chips follow you to your other devices and survive a reinstall. The developer cannot access your iCloud data.

Statistics, levels, settings, your flag and profile-mark choices, a cached list of owned items and the state of an online game in progress are stored only on your device. Local app data may be included in device backups according to your Apple backup settings.

Purchases and virtual chips

Apple processes all in-app purchases: chip packs and cosmetic items such as boards and dice. The app receives product information, purchase status and transaction identifiers needed to deliver and restore purchases. The developer never receives your payment details or Apple Account password.

Chips are a virtual game currency for entertainment only. They have no monetary value and cannot be cashed out, exchanged for money or prizes, or transferred to other players. Tavla contains simulated gambling and is intended for adults 18 and over.

Children

Tavla is not directed to children, and the developer does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent information through support can contact us so it can be deleted.

Deleting your data

Deleting Tavla removes the data stored on your device. The chip ledger copy in your iCloud key-value storage stays in your Apple Account so a reinstall can restore your chips. You can stop iCloud syncing by turning off iCloud for Tavla in Settings → [your name] → iCloud, and you can manage or delete data Apple stores for your Apple Account, including iCloud and Game Center data, through Apple at privacy.apple.com. Purchased cosmetic items remain in Apple's purchase history and can be restored.

Support

The Tavla support page offers a contact form and email. If you contact support, the developer receives your name, email address and the message you send, and uses them only to respond. The form is delivered through FormSubmit, which states that it keeps submissions for up to 30 days. The pages are hosted on GitHub Pages, which may process technical request information. Please do not include payment-card details in a message.

Apple's privacy policy

Apple processes Game Center, iCloud and App Store information under Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer does not sell or share personal information with anyone else.
